In this photography competition, you are required to submit 5 photos that will describe your Christmas and New Year Holidays Experience. These 5 photos should showcase the highlights and most important events of your holidays.

Criteria:

• Creativity: Your photos must be original, fresh and personal. You can achieve this by focusing on the things you value the most and very personal to you. (e.g. someone’s laugh, a gift that made you feel intense emotions, your favourite sunrise/sunset lookout, etc.

• Composition: Holds the viewer in the image and encourages the viewer to look where the photographer intends. Successful photographs can convey by providing the viewers with a clear and clean story.

• Story-telling: Your photos should evoke the imagination of what’s happening in the photographs. It doesn’t matter if you’re spending holidays with your family, in your workplace or somewhere overseas as long as you can tell the story.

• Description: On each photo, you need to tell us what motivated you to capture that moment or subject. Maximum of 3 lines.

Procedures:

Your 5 photos must be uploaded to Ascend Workshop Facebook Group under the Competition Album. You will receive feedback on each of your photos. The judging will be done by Ascend Studios photographers Kyle, Jen, Rubin, Zac and the entire team.
